BH Environment, a division of BH Technologies, offers a patented technology solution that is revolutionizing the waste collection. Winning the last Mayors and Local Authorities prize in Paris, BH Environnement develops a system named SYREN (for system-level statement) poised to revolutionize the management of waste collections of local communities. This ultra-sonic sensor, one-piece, self is able to perform real-time “weighting distance” bins.
The company

In 2006 the company Grenoble had the idea to develop this process. Specializing in lighting, BH has developed a technology to facilitate the ignition and extinguishing of lights that will assure a leading position in France.
The CEO, Eric Habib analysed that there were real needs around the issue of waste and asked the question : How to optimize collections and eliminate the excesses? In imagining a small probe called Syren. The city of Grenoble has entered the system: 278 columns collection of glass have been fitted with these sensors. “Until now, the trucks were collecting bins that were half empty. The Environment BH system allowed to move to a fill level of around 80%. BH Environment has installed nearly a thousand sensors France, containers, surface, buried on the glass but also garbage.
Syren technology
The very low energy consumption of sensor installed on each container has a decade of independence. The product is fully resin, perfectly impervious to pressure wash and resistant to shocks consecutive dumps containers. The probe is also equipped with a heat sensor that prevents firefighters immediately in case of fire.

Syren adapts quickly and easily on any type of container, air or buried, or installed new. Finally Syren increases the satisfaction of the residents: removal of excesses that undermine the safety and cleanliness of the city, reducing noise pollution caused by unnecessary flushes and reduce the use of collection trucks. Syren has also a positive environmental impact by reducing the mileage collection trucks and nuisance created by them.
BH Environnement raised 750 000 euros from Siparex in 2007.
BH Environnement will be on the next Cleantuesday Rhone Alpes events on sept 22 in Grenoble and sept 29 in Lyon.

Interesting technology !!
After waste collection, the next question is : How may we improved the level of recycling regarding that today 60% of sorted garbage are put in a discharge ….
