Bioproduction

Founded in 2008 by Marc Delcourt and Philippe Marlière, Global Bioenergies is one of the few
companies worldwide, and the only one in Europe, to develop processes for producing hydrocarbons biologically. The company is developing, under exclusive license, an innovative process of isobutene bioproduction, based on an artificial metabolic pathway involving enzymatic activities that are not known in nature.

S3d is a french cleantech company developing and marketing equipment which enables on-site processing and energy recovery of organic waste. S3d offers “turnkey” waste recycling equipment in view of producing energy. Through an innovative process named Valorfat®, the company enables animal fat to be converted into biofuel. The latter may then be used in a cogeneration diesel engine to produce electricity and heat. Tests on the demonstrator are conclusive, and the efficiency rate remains close to that obtained with diesel fuel while NOx and particle emissions are reduced by 80%.

This french cleantech companies is focusing on plastic pieces with limited use in time as sports and leisure articles, animal food toys, defence training pieces. With its unique Vegemat innovation, the company has developed a bioplastic made from corn and other plants easily shaped, durable and biodegradable. The company is expecting a tunover of € 3million by 2010.

This company founded in late 2007 is labeled by the cluster of competitiveness Fiber Grand Est. The company has especially designed under the brand Isolgreen ®, an insulating material fiber kenaf, a plant near the cotton grown in the humid tropics, which allows the production of insulating materials suitable for thermal regulation in the building.
