Founded in 2005, IVEA Company industrializes and markets LIBS analyzers (LIBS : Laser Induced  Breakdown Spectroscopy) under a licence agreement of CEA and AREVA NC. It proposes a range of standards solutions and adapted services. Allowing to analyze in real time and on site the elementary composition of the material, the range  of IVEA analyzers covers a large field of applications (industry, environment, geology…). IVEA analyzers integrate a home-made software, ANALIBS (r), which drives hardware (laser, spectrometer, …) and a full automatic spectra treatment and quantification, in order to realize any elemental analysis.IVEA activity is strongly focused on sustainable development. 

LIBS TECHNOLOGY

LIBS (Laser Induced  Breakdown Spectroscopy) technique is based on action of a laser pulse to transform solid, gas or liquid material into a plasma which, as it cools, enables a spectral analysis of its elements making it possible to define the qualitative and quantitative content in the original analysed material.

The use of our LIBS analysis instruments makes it possible for manufacturers to sort materials, check layer thicknesses, and produce elementary mapping.  Simple and fast use directly at the heart of process and fully automated analysis facilitates large productivity gains and improves traceability and manufacturing processes.  Another advantage of this instrumentation is that it can be used in most industrial domains including glass, chemicals, petrochemicals, nuclear energy, the automobile industry. The use of their analysers contributes to improving industrial processes and thus reduces consumption of energy and raw materials used by manufacturers.  The LIBS technology also enables an analysis of materials during production to reduce the quantity of scrap.  Finally, it is used to check the nature of solid, gas and liquid industrial wastes.

The main features of LIBS analysers are : instantaneous results,detection of all elements, analysis in solids, liquids and gas, direct analysis without any preparation of sample, measurement without contact from a distance of up a few meters.

LIBS from IVEA offers measurement techniques which are actually done in laboratories. Furthermore, the absence of sample preparation and the real time results opens up completely new applications.It becomes possible to analyse unwanted waste coming from a chimney, vegetation and other polluted rock or ground. No need to collect samples that sometimes reveal no interest, when you can find significant ones just a few feet away.
